Tax and Reinsurance Conference Update

The Tax and Reinsurance Conference is a one-day event on October 30 that is the cornerstone of CreditRe’s 2013 3-Day F&I Office Protection Products Conference. The day will provide seven hours of CPE credit. Presentations will be led by Gary Fagg and distinguished guest speakers.

This year will be special! Gary turns 65 on Nov. 9 and while the conferences will continue, this is likely his last year as a primary contributor to the conference. It is the content and speaker line up that is really special. As we have seen over the last 23 years, your participation by comments and questions can make the day magical.

For the first time in a decade we have a new economically-viable domicile for a PARC/ARC and for the first time in 30+ years, it is a domestic domicile. Charlie Cheek, Registrar, and Tim Houseberg, Insurance Commissioner, of the Delaware Tribe of Indians will unveil its recently-adopted laws and regulations. The domicile has decided to focus solely on Allied Reinsurance Companies (ARC), or if you prefer, Allied Risk Companies. The laws are focused and readable. The forms are straightforward.

The Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI) did not become the PARC domicile of choice by chance. Since the late 1980s and early 1990s, the domicile has proven its attractiveness and ability to meet marketplace needs and changes. We are deeply honored that Adrian Corr will return this year to remind you of the value that TCI has brought to the industry for 20+ years and the changes that have taken place in the last year and are underway for 2014 to maintain its dominance.

The Conference’s long-time accounting partner, GPWA, will again demonstrate its broad and deep knowledge of the industry. They are on the front lines of day-to-day activities and up-to-the minute changes/challenges that are occurring.

Andy Weill again brings his legal perspective to the conference and the experience of recent legal events affecting our market segment.

Finally, we are honored to again have Tim Collins of Ryan, LLC return. No single person has a deeper theoretical understanding of the Internal Revenue Code as it affects our industry than Tim. If he just lectures, well, you will learn a lot, but if you challenge him with your questions or comments, the session may become astounding.

All the details are available on our website, including a list of previous companies attending and links to the pricing schedule with discount information, registration form, and detailed information about each event. We look forward to seeing you later this month!
